Admission to Engineering Programs

Students entering all Western Engineering programs must have completed the entire first year program in Engineering, with no outstanding credits to be taken. Applicants achieving the minima below are not guaranteed acceptance into a particular program. 

Students will indicate their program rankings during the Intent to Register period, each March.

Integrated > 60% NMM 1411A/B, NMM 1412A/B, NMM 1414A/B, Bus 1299E, Phys 1401A, Phys 1402B, ES 1022y

Software > 60% Applicants are required to have a minimum of 60% in NMM 1411A/B, NMM 1412A/B, NMM 1414A/B, Physics 1402A/B and a minimum of 70% in ES 1036A/B and a Year 1 Average (YWA) 60%.
Biomedical  > 60% To be eligible for the BME option in your desired program, all of the requirements of the first-year curriculum in the Faculty of Engineering must be completed with a minimum year-weighted average (YWA) of 70%.
Artificial Intelligence Systems > 75% To be eligible for the AISE option in your desired program, all of the requirements of the first-year curriculum in the Faculty of Engineering must be completed with a minimum year-weighted average (YWA) of 75%.
