Application Process
Professional Programs (MEng):
To make the application and admission process clearer and more predictable, Western Engineering now uses application rounds and deadlines for our professional MEng programs (beginning with the May 2026 intake).
Applications will be processed on a rolling basis with admission decisions delivered within 3-4 weeks of the application deadline. Our goal is to provide a smoother process and ensure that all applicants receive timely and coordinated decisions.
Please make sure you adhere to the posted application deadlines to ensure your application is processed for the desired term of admission. Incomplete applications will not be assessed; please ensure you have met all program requirements before applying for admission.
Note:- International students who apply after Round 3 may not have enough time to secure a study visa for the program start.
- The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides only fall term intakes. They will not accept applications for either the winter or spring terms.

Admission Decisions
The graduate research program admission standards and practices at Western Engineering are unique to each program. Certain programs may go through an interview process before they make their decision, and applicants will be contacted by the program administration for an interview. If the applicant’s program of choice does not require an interview process, offers of admission will be sent after all applications are reviewed.
Applicants who have been offered admission to the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies can accept or decline their offers of admission through the Western Student Centre.
