What is Orientation Week like at Western?

Orientation Week is an incredible and truly unique experience. O-Week focuses on welcoming you to your new home, helping you meet other first-year students, and giving you a chance to learn about all the different aspects of life at Western.

How are residences assigned?

Western has developed an online questionnaire that will allow the University to consider your building choices, match you with a suitable roommate and assign your room. You will have an opportunity to rank your residence/focused-interest floor preferences, and indicate a roommate, meal plan selections, and other lifestyle preferences.

Midway between Detroit and Toronto, London is at the heart of Southwestern Ontario. As Canada's 10th largest centre, London has a population of over 464,000 and serves as a regional hub for surrounding communities. Check out the City of London homepage to learn more about it.

How can I stay active while at Western?

Taking part in Intramural Sports or being part of Varsity Athletics is a great way to stay active at Western. Whether you like to participate at the super, competitive, or recreational level, Varsity Athletics and our Intramural Sports offer a full range of activities. Most activities are located in our new Western Student Recreation Centre.
