Shop Rates

University Machine Services develops hourly charge-out rates from supporting historical data and the forecasting of revenues and expenses for the current fiscal year. The number of billable hours is divided by the total of all shop expenses with the intent of providing services internally at cost. Any surplus is used for operational and faculty improvements.
