February saw Western Engineering's Baja SAE and Toboggan teams thrive in competitions in Quebec and Newfoundland.

Western Baja SAE finished fourth overall and first among Ontario universities at Epreuve du Nord in Quebec City. This was an all-time best for the Western Engineering team at this competition, placing first in Design, third in Nordic Combine and fifth in Endurance.

The Western Engineering Toboggan Team (WETT) finished second overall at the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race in St. John’s, Newfoundland. WETT finished first in nine categories, including safety, braking, steering and superstructure frame design. The team also had the second-fastest run time of the competition.
