Kopp named associate dean, graduate and postdoctoral studies

Western Engineering has a new associate dean on its team.

Greg Kopp has been named associate dean, graduate and postdoctoral studies, effective Jan. 1, 2015 for a five-year term.

Kopp is a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and research director at the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory. He also served as associate chair, graduate, in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from 2004-2006.

A former Tier II Canada Research Chair (2001 and 2010), Kopp serves in many leadership roles in the wind engineering profession, including as president of the American Association of Wind Engineering.
