The process for students should be as follows:

Submit your Proposed Thesis Examination Board form to the CBE Graduate Coordinator: This form outlines the examiners, date, time and location of your defense. Ensure you have all signatures required. You require signatures from your supervisor(s), the Graduate Chair, the Graduate Assistant and you must sign the board as well.

Submit your preliminary thesis online here.

Await the formal email from SGPS and the department that your thesis has been approved and can proceed. 

Defend your thesis!


Have your Certificate of Examination (provided to you at the end of your defense) signed and drop it off at the department office.

Make recommended revisions to your thesis and submit online here.
