Michael Riddle is currently pursuing an M.E.Sc. Degree in Biomedical Engineering at Western University. He previously completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Biomedical Instrumentation and Biomechanics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, USA in May of 2017. He joined the Human Biomechanics Laboratory at Western University in September of 2017 under the co-supervision of Dr. Emily Lalone and Dr. Louis Ferreira. He is a member of Western’s Bone and Joint Institute and the Collaborative Musculoskeletal Health Research Program. His Master’s research project involves measuring hand forces during activities of daily living to determine the effectiveness of joint protection programmes for people with arthritis.
