Why Western Engineering?

I chose Western Engineering because of the strong and supporting community! I loved how many clubs and resources there were for engineering students! As well, I loved having the common first-year so that I could be introduced to each discipline!

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time I like to hang out with friends, ski, workout and watch movies!

What was your orientation week experience like as a first-year student?

My orientation week in first year was great! I got to do lots of orientation events with both my residence and the engineering faculty which allowed me to meet so many people in the first week! Within engineering orientation, we got a tour of the building and were introduced to all the engineering clubs, which was a great way to learn what is out there for students!

Why did you choose your specific stream of engineering?

I chose my stream because I am passionate about chemistry and the environment! I like that chemical engineering is a very broad discipline that can be applied to many industries and help solve many problems!

What is your favourite book, movie, or TV show?

My favourite TV show is Parks and Recreation!

Who do you look up to/admire and why?

I look up to my parents! They are both very driven and hardworking individuals that have inspired me to pursue what I am passionate about.
