Current Research Projects

I presently have projects in intermittent cancellation control and welding control. Intermittent Cancellation control uses an open/closed loop control approach with either repetitive or integral controllers to cancel predictable disturbances. I have extensive experience in applying modern control strategies to resistance welding and arc welding. Presently working on monitoring and control algorithms to improve consistency of the resistance spot welding process used in automotive assembly. Further interests include adaptive control, biological control systems, and genetic regulation.
