Girls Club

Every winter, Western Engineering Outreach offers a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) Club for Grades 3 to 8 girls and non-binary youth. This STEM Club allows girls to explore engineering through hands-on activities in a space where they can be themselves as well as meet inspiring women in engineering and allies. Girls Club runs over three Saturdays on the Western University campus. As part of our all-girls programming, Western Engineering Outreach welcomes gender-diverse youth, including but not limited to cis girls, trans girls, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth and gender queer youth.
When & Where
Girls Club takes place on Western University’s main campus.
Times
Our Grade 3 to 5 program will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and our Grade 6 to 8 program will run from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
What to expect:
This Winter, explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) with our Girls STEM Club. As part of Girls STEM Club, students will have the opportunity to explore the different fields of engineering while participating in fun and educational hands-on activities. Each week offers a unique engineering experience as students connect with peers who share a passion for engineering. Students will engage in age-appropriate hands-on learning experiences as we introduce a new STEM concept each week while encouraging students to develop the different skills required of an engineer including curiosity, collaboration, creativity and problem-solving and communication. Don't miss the opportunity to learn, create, and grow in the Girls STEM Club!
A sneak peak of what's to come this Winter
