Why Western Engineering?

I chose Western for its unique dual and concurrent degree options. Since joining, I’ve built lasting connections and grown through clubs like Robotics, Formula Racing, and the Biomedical Club. Supportive professors and hands-on labs have given me strong practical knowledge. These experiences enhanced my leadership and communication skills, and today I’m proud to serve as Outreach Lead for WeBots and Electrical Lead for the Biomedical Club.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love reading history books and listening to music. I also dedicate free time to club projects, as they give me energy and purpose. When life gets busy balancing academics and extracurriculars, I recharge with a quick nap—because even small breaks make a big difference.

What was your orientation week experience like as a first-year student?

Although I missed much of O-Week, the events I attended were incredible. The sophs created such a fun and supportive environment that it immediately made me feel welcomed. Their energy and kindness made the experience unforgettable, even in the short time I had.

Why did you choose your specific stream of engineering?

In first year, I considered mechatronics or electrical but soon realized my passion lay in electrical. I can design PCBs for hours without losing interest—it’s something I truly love. Since I hope to pursue biomedical studies, electrical provides the perfect foundation. I believe when you enjoy your field, even the challenges become exciting.

What is your favourite book, movie, or TV show?

My favourite book series is Harry Potter. I’ve read it countless times, and each time reminds me of the magic in everyday life—the power of friendship, resilience, and never giving up. It inspires me to see challenges as opportunities, much like the characters do.

Who do you look up to/admire and why?

I admire Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a pioneer of India’s space program. His journey showed that with big dreams and humble resources, anything is possible—like carrying rocket parts on a bicycle to achieve a launch. His vision, humility, and ability to inspire continue to motivate me and many others.
