What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I immerse myself in a variety of activities. Whether it’s tinkering with DIY projects, exploring the latest tech trends, or playing soccer with my friends, each activity adds a new dimension to my life. I also enjoy reading about scientific breakthroughs and brainstorming ideas that could potentially transform into real-world solutions. These pursuits not only fuel my creativity but also keep me grounded and focused.

What was your orientation week experience like as a first-year student?

Orientation week was an exhilarating whirlwind of activities and new connections. It was a time of discovery, filled with workshops, team-building exercises, and inspirational talks that left a lasting impact. It helped me transition smoothly into the university life, fostering a sense of belonging and excitement. The experience laid the foundation for some of my closest friendships and solidified my confidence in my choice to join Western Engineering.

Why did you choose your specific stream of engineering?

My choice of engineering stream was driven by a fascination with civil and its transformative potential. The idea of designing and creating systems or structures that could have a tangible impact on society captivates me. This stream perfectly aligns with my skills and interests, offering endless opportunities to innovate and solve real-world challenges."

What is your favourite book, movie, or TV show?

I watch a lot of anime. I’ve got to say that my favourite right now is attack on titan or Jujitsu Kaisen. I find the action-packed stories they tell interesting and complex. Plot lines that come with all sorts of twists and turns are my favourite."

Who do you look up to/admire and why?

I deeply admire Philip Emeagwali, a Nigerian civil engineer and computer scientist commonly known for being the father of the internet. His unparalleled dedication to innovation and ability to overcome challenges is awe-inspiring. His journey instills in me the belief that with perseverance and a passion for innovation, one can make significant contributions to society. His legacy serves as a guiding light in my own academic and professional pursuits."
