Western’s Indigenous Services offers an on-campus experiential learning program each summer working with Indigenous youth ages 12-16 to provide engaging opportunities for them to connect with the Western community. Western Engineering outreach provides a programming as part of this week, featuring our most recent research as well some of our most impactful students. Learn more.

Just for Girls Mentorship

Western Engineering has partnered with Western Indigenous Services to offer a unique opportunity for female Indigenous students interested in attend our Just for Girls Mentorship program. Funding is available for transportation. Learn more.

SNP STEAM Academy

Western Engineering has partnered with the Six Nations Polytechnic STEAM Academy to connect guest speakers from Western University with high school classes to share their stories and experiences.

Indigenous Student Council at the GECDSB

Western Engineering has partnered with the Greater Essex County District School Board to develop and deliver a unique Leaders in Training program to their Indigenous students, hosted by the Indigenous Student Council.
