During the months of October, November, December, May and June,  Western Engineering Outreach offers workshops for elementary and secondary schools. The focus of these workshops is to increase the awareness and enjoyment of science and engineering while complimenting the Ontario Science and Technology Curriculum. Energetic Western Engineering Outreach instructors travel across Southwestern Ontario to provide workshops to children in Grades K-12.

Each workshop is designed for a maximum of 30 students. Please see below for pricing:

  • In-person Elementary Workshop + materials - 1.5-2 hour workshop: $120/workshop
  • In-person Elementary Workshop + materials - full-day workshop: $160/full-day

High school workshops (grade 9-12) are FREE for Spring 2023!

Depending on your location there may be an extra cost for mileage. 


Have you been part of our WEMADEIT teacher program? Or do you work with underrepresented youth in STEM? Let us know as there might be a discount that can be applied to your booking. Additionally, if you book multiple workshops for the same day an automatic 5% discount will be applied for those workshops.

Cancellation Policy

A 20% non-refundable administration fee is applied to all cancellations made up to 10 business days prior to the workshop session date. 

All cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 10 business days prior to the workshop session date. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 10 business days prior to the workshop session date. No refunds will be made in the event of the university or school closure.

Given the current COVID-19 pandemic circumstances, this policy may be waived at the discretion of the Manager of Outreach.
