In-School Workshops

During the months of May and June,  Western Engineering Outreach offers workshops for elementary and secondary schools. The focus of these workshops is to increase the awareness and enjoyment of science and engineering while complimenting the Ontario Science and Technology Curriculum. Energetic Western Engineering Outreach instructors travel within London and the surrounding area to deliver workshops to students in Grades 1 to 12.

Workshop Descriptions

Workshop descriptions for 2024 will be added in the Spring.

Each in-school workshop is two hours and costs $130. This includes the cost of delivery and materials for up to 30 students. There may be an additional cost for mileage depending on the location of your school.

Bursaries covering up to 100% of the workshop cost may be available for schools with low-socioeconomic status, or schools with high enrollment of youth who are underrepresented in STEM (Indigenous youth, newcomers to Canada, girls, etc.) Additionally, discounts may be available if one school books multiple workshops for the same day. Please email to see if you qualify for a discount or a bursary.
