Dr. Tianlong (Taylor) Liu is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Western University. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, in 2020. His doctoral research focused on the practical applications of microbial fuel cell technology in winery wastewater treatment. Following his doctorate, he worked as a research associate at Durham University for two years prior to joining Western University. Complementing his academic credentials, Dr. Liu also has two years of work experience in the wastewater industry. Dr. Liu collaborates closely with various industries and has contributed to diverse interdisciplinary research programs spanning academia and industry, linking computer engineering, environmental engineering, and biochemical engineering with industrial partners.
