Teaching
CBE 2221: Fluid Flow
Introduces chemical engineering students to the basics of momentum transfer and fluid flow. Topics include conservation of mass / momentum / energy, fluid kinematics, fluid forces, dimensional analysis, pumps, and pipe flow.
CBE / MME 4428: Intro to Nanoengineering
An introduction to fundamental concepts in nanoengineering, emphasizing limitations of macroscale models and presenting alternative molecular approaches to the engineering of nanoscale systems.
CBE 9155: Advanced Fluid Mechanics
An advanced introduction to fluid mechanics for chemical engineering graduate students. Core undergraduate content is covered at a faster pace before progressing to more advanced material. Topics include conservation laws, global control volume analysis, governing equations of fluid flow, analytical solutions for viscous flow, irrotational flow, and boundary layer theory.
