Dr. Amir Sagharichi joined Western University in 2027 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. Dr. Sagharichi is a mechanical Engineer-in-Training and has over ten years of combined academic and industrial engineering experience. His research expertise extends to experimental thermofluids, turbulent separated and reattaching flows, PIV-based flow diagnostics, CFD-informed analysis, and data-intensive MATLAB/Python post-processing. He is an experienced teacher laboratory instructor, and mentor with instruction and supervision across fluid mechanics, themofluids laboratories, engineering design, advanced turbulence, and applied mathematics.
