Engineering Now .: Volume 4 - Edition 7 .: April 2008

CanQueue 2008, August 28-30, Carleton University, Ottawa

Following the success of nine previous conferences, the 10th CanQueue meeting will be held in Ottawa, August 28-30, 2008. The conference is organized by Carleton University under the sponsorship of Fields Institute and MITACS, and Laboratory for Research in Statistics and Probability at School of Mathematics and Statistics of Carleton University.

The goal of the conference is to promote research and applications of queueing theory. The annual conference provides a forum where scientists, researchers, engineers, executives and students in the field meet to encourage on-going research and to discuss work-in-progress. You are invited to participate this meeting!

Drs. Debasis Mitra of Bell Labs and Bert Zwart of Georgia Tech will be the plenary speakers at the meeting. For more information, please log onto http://www.math.carleton.ca/CanQueue-08

Funding is available for assisting speakers and students/postdocs to attend the event. People who are interested in attending the event are encouraged to contact us for a possible support.
