Hassan G. Gomaa - Research Interests
There is a growing demand for development of highly selective and cost effective technologies for many applications including sustainable energy, waste treatment and recycling, separation of pure components, and production of specialty products with targeted properties. Our research objective is to achieve such goal by adopting a Process Intensification (PI) techniques such as hybrid reactors, composite products, flow modulations and self-sustained oscillations with focus on membrane separation systems. In particular, we are interested in applying PI approaches in the following areas:
- Advanced NP composite membranes.
- Micro and nano composite particles using membrane emulsification.
- Hybrid membrane separation system.
- Membrane MF/UF reactors self-cleaning techniques.
- Application of Supported Liquid Membranes (SLM) in bioseparation.
- Electrodialysis with bipolar membranes (EDBP).
