Katrina Darcel

Outreach Director

Hi my name is Katrina Darcel and I am currently going into my third year of Chemical Engineering, specializing in the Biochemical stream. I am the Women in Engineering Outreach Director for the 2015/2016 year. One of my main objectives for this upcoming year is to continue to encourage the enrollment of women in the engineering program here at Western. We plan to do this through several outreach activities, many of which will be paired up with Discovery Western. I plan to have WiE play a larger role in some of these events through volunteering and information booths. There will also be a chance for female engineering students to return to their high schools to encourage younger students to consider engineering as a potential postsecondary option. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you are interested in volunteering with Women in Engineering!
