Western Engineering Summer Academy

Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Western University has taken the decision to suspend its 2020 summer camps including Western Engineering Outreach Summer Programs.

STEM @ Home - Virtual Programs

While we can't be together in person, we are offering exciting online programs for youth (grades SK to 12) with a special interest in science, technology, engineering and math during the months of July and August!

Starting May 19th we will be hosting workshops online every Tuesday and Thursday for youth to follow along at home. In addition, we will be posting new and exciting design challenges for our STEM @ Home program every week. For more information please visit the STEM @ Home page.

In addition, Sport Western will be hosting kid-friendly activities and games via Zoom every Thursday to keep Sport Western campers busy at home. Registration is required.

About WESA

The Western Engineering Summer Academy is designed specifically for enriched Grades 9-12 high school students looking for a challenge this summer.

If you are interested in programs for students in Grades SK to 8 check out our Discovery Western Summer Camp.

WESA offers students the opportunity to explore these areas of engineering with labs, lectures and hands-on projects. The courses are taught by our very own professors and graduate students.

Additionally, to get a feel for what Academy is all about check out our pictures from previous years or our YouTube videos from past sessions

Note: WESA is designed for Grades 9-12 students who excel in science and math. Being enrolled in a gifted program is not a requirement.
