Junior Instructor

Job Title: Junior Instructor - Discovery Western 

Successful candidates will also be required to attend a paid orientation & training session in June.

Salary: $14.00 per hour

Hours per week: 30-40

Discovery Western is looking for fun and enthusiastic individuals to be Junior Instructors.

Discovery Western is a not-for-profit organization that promotes awareness of engineering and science to youth through interactive curriculum and is hosted by the Faculty of Engineering at Western. To learn more, check out our website: http://www.eng.uwo.ca/dw/index.html

During July and August, Junior Instructors work with our enthusiastic Senior Instructors to run summer day camp sessions at our London and satellite locations. Junior Instructors will have an opportunity to plan, design, facilitate, and supervise programming. Preference will be given to candidates entering grade 11, 12 or first-year university in the fall, with an interest in Engineering and Science.

 Interested applicants must:

  • Be a creative, self-directed, responsible individual who demonstrates leadership and strong team player skills.
  • Be able to multi-task and demonstrate good organizational and time management skills
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by the local police station, within 3 months of an offer of employment
  • Have experience working with children
