Online enrollment and approval begins in September on CareerCentral.
You should log-in to CareerCentral regularly to view and apply to summer job postings.
Note: SECOP postings typically do not start until January, though sometimes there will be an early company posting in December. Read each job posting carefully to determine: application deadline date, interview dates, length/dates of co-op, requested degree programs, and method of application.
All students who receive an interview will be contacted by e-mail and details will be in CareerCentral. Interviews will take place on and off campus, they may require some traveling or occur via phone or video-conferencing.
If you are successful securing a co-op position on your own, you will need to bring the following items into Engineering Career Services.
- Job description;
- Start and end dates;
- Salary offered;
- Supervisor or HR contact information;
- If possible, job offer letter.
After reviewing this information, Engineering Career Services will let you know if the position can be counted as an official co-op placement.
SECOP placements begin at the start of May.
Performance evaluations must be completed by your supervisor by the end of the summer co-op term.
Reneging on a job offer after it has been accepted is not permitted and consequences will follow. Review all of the Internship and SECOP Policies and Procedures.
