What is the admission average for Western Engineering?
The minimum average for the 2011-2012 intake was 83%.
What type of scholarships are available?
Admission Scholarships
Continuing Scholarships :: 95% + :: $10,000 ($2,500/yr)
Western Scholarship of Excellence :: 90%-94.9% :: $2,000 for first year
Western Scholarship of Distinction :: 87%-89.9% :: $1,000 for first year
Western's Admissions Scholarships are unlimited and
automatically awarded upon admissions to Western. No application
is required to be eligible for these scholarships.
Scholarships are awarded to students (Canadian citizens, permanent residents and landed immigrants) who accept a full-time, first-year offer to main campus and are based on final marks including prerequisite courses. Once you have confirmed your acceptance to Western and your final marks have been received, you will be notified in writing regarding the value of your scholarship. This will occur in August. The value of your scholarship will be applied directly to your tuition account.
Do I go into a specific engineering program straight from high school?
All first-year engineering students take the same courses allowing you to experience all disciplines before deciding on your area or program of specialization.
