Hey everyone! Just a couple of announcements. USC Representative applications are open until THIS FRIDAY! Apply online! You need to fill out the USC Rep Nomination form as well as the UES Elected Position form. Elections will be held next Friday and will be a paper ballot! VP Elections are this Thursday and Friday! Winners will be announced at formal.
And last but not least.. after two days of voting let's all congratulate the Iron Ring Representative for the class of 2012, Hendrik Westerink!

Hey 4th years!
Iron Ring Representative Nominations open tomorrow. To be eligible you must have these three things:
1) 3 signatures of nomination (4th year students can only sign)
2) Nomination paragraph by other student (2 or 3 lines)
3) Statement of interest written by the nominee (kind of like a platform, why you're the best choice etc)
Those three things must be submitted by email to ues.prez@uwo.ca or I can be handed in the UES desk by Thursday March 1st. The election will be held Friday March 2nd. 4th year students will receive an email with their voter key for online voting as well as the statement of interests by the nominees.

Hey everyone!
Congratulations to Mike Zawalsky for a successful presidential campaign! The votes are in a Mike has been elected as next year's UES President! Applications for VP Positions as well as USC Representatives are now open! To read about the positions and see if you are eligible, check out our By-Laws posted online. Applications will be accepted online. Send them to ues.prez@uwo.ca. They are due Monday February 27th!
Also, hope to see everyone tonight at the Wave for Charity on the Rocks!

Program Preview Week will take place the week of February 13th. This is a chance for first year students to sit in on select upper year classes. Please see the attached document for a schedule of participating lectures.
*UPDATE: The lecture for SE 2205b will not be happening on Tuesday February 14th as a midterm for the class is taking place during this time slot. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hey everyone!
We are now in the middle of presidential elections! We have one candidate, Michael Zawalsky, a third year in Ivey/Integrated Engineering. Check out his platform on facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/122808604507719/. I strongly encourage all students to get involved by voting in the online elections on February 14th and 15th. On Febrauary 16th, VP Position applications will be open. Apply online or pick up an application outside the UES. The roles of the VPs are in the By-Laws posted on the website and are also outside of the UES. Applications close Monday February 27th!

The First Year Integrated Conference is an opportunity for first year engineering students across Ontario to meet and discuss issues related to them. It is a great experience that provides an early opportunity to get involved in the engineering community. FYIC 2012 with take place at McMaster University from January 20th to January 22nd 2012. Applications can be found here or outside the UES. Please return them to the UES desk or by email to ues.vpext@uwo.ca by Wednesday, 7th of December.
