Dr. Xuemei Li completed Bachelor of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics in Ludong University, China in 2007 and Doctor of Science in Physical Geography from Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China in 2013. She is serving as an Associate Professor in Lanzhou Jiaotong University, China and teaches courses in geomorphology, cartography, the science of climate change, principles and applications of remote sensing (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS). She was awarded ‘Doctoral scholarship of Zhuli Yuehua’ from CAS in 2011. She is supervising one project supported from Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). She also received ‘Advanced person in scientific research’ from Lanzhou Jiaotong University, China in 2015. She has over 25 professional publications. Dr. Li primary research interest focuses on regional climate change, reconstruction and projection of climate and hydrology in arid and cold region. Most of her work is related to simulation, reconstruction, assessment, optimization and uncertainty in climate and hydrology.
