Welcome to Biomedical Engineering!

Well, here we are into another academic year!

We have prepared a handbook,and organized an orientation day on Tuesday, September 6th in Spencer Engineering Room 2202 for new students to get information, tour the facilities and meet current students and of course Diana and Rachel!

The School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS) has also prepared information for incoming students (www.grad.uwo.ca)

The handbook consists of all procedures, please read through it as there is a list of forms that you can fill out prior to arrival.

The course schedule is posted but you must have approval from your supervisor to enroll. http://www.eng.uwo.ca/research/biomed/!

Classes will start, on Thursday, September 8th.

Most of you were awarded a WGRS (Western Graduate Research Scholarship) which covers your tuition and can be taken care of when you arrive.

A map including all BME related laboratories is available.

If you are planning to apply for NSERC, please start your application ASAP. Our deadline (for new students only) will be ~ Oct. 1. I will give you an overview in orientation. Especially ask your referees so that you have it in place when you come to UWO. NSERC forms are usually posted September 1 - online www.nserc.ca.

The day will proceed as follows:

11:20 - Meet in Engineering 2202 OR Spencer Engineering Building 2001 (BME office).

11:30 - Orientation session

12:30 - Lunch with current Grads

After lunch - Tour of UWO
