- Porous nano materials for gas adsorption and separation
- Pharmaceutical research in drug synthesis, crystallization, chiral separation and controlled release drug delivery

There are a limited number of financial support packages for graduate students.
Note that in order to be eligible to receive the financial support, students must fulfill the criteria of admission average of 78% or higher set by the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS). Usually this average is based on full-time courses taken within the last two years of study. The admission average is determined based on University of Western Ontario (UWO) grade scale.
