4.      Awarded the Hellmuth Prize for Achievement in Research by The University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, 2007.

5.      Appointed Distinguished University Professor by The University of Western Ontario for “sustained excellence in scholarship”, September 2005, one of the first four to receive this honour in the inaugural year of the award.

6.      Appointed to a Tier-1 Canada Research Chair in Advanced Robotics and Control, The University of Western Ontario, July 1, 2004.
