Miriam A. M. Capretz, PhD
Dr. M. Capretz is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair - Graduate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Enginenering at the University of Western Ontario. She was an Assistant Professor in the same department from 2000 to 2006. Prior to joining the University of Western Ontario, Dr. M. Capretz was an Assistant Professor in the Software Engineering Laboratory at the University of Aizu (Japan).
Dr. M. Capretz has been involved with software development and research and teaching in software engineering for more than 25 years. Among her industry experience, she worked as a software engineer from 1984 to 1988 at Technological Center for Informatics-CTI in Campinas/SP, Brazil; and from 1981 to 1984, she was a systems analyst at a computer company in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Dr. M. Capretz is a senior member of IEEE, a member of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) and an IBM CAS Fellow.
