NSERC Strategic Research Grants awarded to Western Engineering researchers


The projects are as follows:

  • Cedric Briens, Franco Berruti and Paul Charpentier: “Developing the best technology for the conversion of agricultural waste into biofuels and chemicals”.
    Project value: $208,000.

  • Sohrab Rohani and Ajay K. Ray: “Development of a reliable, efficient and economic chiral drug separation process”.
    Project value: $202,600.

  • Sohrab Rohani and Ajay K. Ray: “TiO2 nanotube arrays synthesis, bandgap engineering and solar energy applications”.
    Project value: $144,000.

  • S. P. Simonovic: “An integrated system dynamics model for analyzing behavior of the social-economic-climatic system”.
    Project value: $246,000
