Results
42 people responded to the Engineering Now Feedback
Survey. 50% were staff, 36% were students and 14% were
faculty.
40.5% of the participants stated that they
have read all editions of Engineering Now.
The majority of participants (62.5%) indicated
the News & Events section is most interesting.
28.6% of the participants indicated the Awards &
Accomplishments section is least interesting, however 40% chose the
"other" option stating, "Everything is interesting."
74% of participants stated they would prefer a
monthly newsletter.

Questions
1. Are the issues being archived, so they will be available in
the future if we needed to extract information?
Yes, all editions of Engineering Now are available
on the Western Engineering website at the following web address:
http://www.eng.uwo.ca/news/newsletters.htm
2. Sometimes, links included in the email do
not work.
Engineering Now is best viewed in Outlook in HTML
format. If you do not view your email in Outlook, click on the
hyperlink that appears at the top of all Engineering Now
emails. Viewing the newsletter from the website will eliminate
any complications with broken links.
3. Would appointments outside the engineering
field be considered under announcements (i.e. with community
non-profit groups)?
All information in Engineering Now must be related to
Western Engineering, The University of Western Ontario or the field
of engineering.

Future of Engineering Now
Based on the information gathered from the survey, the following
actions will be taken:

Engineering Now will be
distributed to all faculty, staff an students on the second
Friday of every month. All monthly editions will include
Awards & Accomplishments, Research News, News & Events,
Deadlines, Announcements and a Photo Gallery.

An Engineering Now Deadlines & Events
Reminder email will be distributed to all faculty, staff
and students every Monday to keep the Faculty up-to-date with
important dates and information for the week ahead.

email.
The contributions made by faculty,
staff and students are what make the newsletter a
success.
