Fall Preview Day 2008

Visitors watch as Mechanical and Materials Engineering Assistant Professor, Michael Naish, conducts a demonstration in his lab.

Future students, family members and friends journeyed to Western for Fall Preview Day on Saturday, November 15 to take an in depth look into their future and gain insight into the life that awaits them at Western. On this day, visitors had the opportunity to explore academics, campus life and residences that the University has to offer.

This year, Western Engineering opened their doors to over 600 visitors which represented 200 prospect students and their families. Students gathered knowledge about possible programs and projects they could be involved in if they chose Western Engineering as their school of choice.

Prospect students and their families were given a warm welcome by the Acting Dean George Knopf and UES President Sarah Patterson. Faculty volunteers, staff and students were also on hand to answer questions. Visitors also enjoyed a guided tour of the Spencer Engineering Building, including the different clubs and organizations that are available such as Engineers Without Boarders, Formula SAE, Women In Engineering, and many more.
