Erin Cullen selected for the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation Inco Limited Masters Engineering Scholarship

Erin Cullen

Erin Cullen, a Western Masters student in Civil Engineering, has been selected for the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation Inco Limited Masters Engineering Scholarship.

Erin will receive a $10,000 scholarship plus a summer job opportunity with Inco Limited, either following first year of a two year program or immediately following graduation.

Erin was one of many applicants from across Canada vying for one of four scholarships, but in the end Erin was the only student selected to receive this award. Erin received this award based on her filmed presentation, community involvement, professional achievements and the referee reports. She will officially receive the award at the CCPE Annual General Meeting in Winnipeg this May.

The award is open to female Master’s student completing research in a field of study which relates to mining.

INCO is a Canadian company which operates all over the world. Erin has been offered me a summer student position, which she will probably take next summer. She also has some obligations to complete outreach events with CEMF, which includes presenting to a first year class and promoting careers in the field of mining and metallurgical engineering.
