Newalta Corporation Supports Western Engineering

The Environmental Fluid Mechanics Laboratory of the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory (BLWTL) has recently received a generous donation of $100,000 by Newalta Corporation.

Newalta's gift will support Drs. Paul Sullivan and Gregory Kopp's research that investigates the science and engineering of fluid flows such as: the dispersion of contaminants in air and water, reduction of particulate emissions, and erosion and sediment transport rivers. 

A portion of the gift will be endowed at the University.  The funds will be used to establish an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or an Ontario Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (OGSST) for masters or doctoral students conducting research in Environmental Science.
