Simonovic publishes book - Managing Water Resources: Methods of Tools for a Systems Approach

By Nancy Quaegebeur

SimonovicWestern Engineering is pleased to acknowledge the publication of Slobodan Simonovic, PhD, PEng, Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering latest book, “Managing Water Resources: Methods of Tools for a Systems Approach.”

This book is a joint publication between the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Earthscan. As one of our main resources for survival and a growing concern for its connection to human health and sanitation, Simonovic believes there is a greater need for information on the analysis of water that his book provides.

Simonovic’s book also introduces the reader to how the fuzzy-set theory can be used in water resource system management. Simonovic is regarded as one of the pioneers in applying this theory and considered to be an expert in it.

The book consists of 640 pages with 172 figures and 92 graphs and can be purchased from Earthscan: http://www.earthscan.co.uk/?tabid=4377
