The Hodson
Award was established in 1950 and is given to the
author of the best paper
written by a junior STLE member and published by the Society
during the year preceding the annual meeting.
Kogut is
receiving this award for his paper
entitled
“A Finite Element Based
Elastic-Plastic Model for the Contact of Rough Surfaces.”
The STLE awards committee made this selection late last year
after careful consideration of many fine candidates and
papers. Kogut will
be presented with this
award in
April at the
STLE annual meeting
in Las Vegas.
