Engineers Without Borders Fundraiser

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) recently approached Western Engineering's IT Department with a fundraiser idea to raise money for EWB while safely disposing of old toner cartridges.

How Does It Work?
EWB has placed a box in Stores to collect old toner cartridges.  The collected toner cartridges will be sent to HorizonEP in Toronto for recycling. Funds raised from recycled cartridges will go to EWB overseas projects, including Western's first ever volunteer this summer. They will also support local outreach to London high school, and within the university.

What You Can Do To Help
Drop-off your old toner cartridges to Stores.  Please note: due to renovations, Stores has temporarily moved to SEB 2023.

"There is no cost to engineering and we support Engineers Without Borders," says Barry Kay, Associate Director, Information Technology.  "And, at the same time we can dispose of old toner cartridges responsibly."
