CEE professor Hesham El Naggar receives prestigious award

The Canadian Geotechnical Society recognized Professor Hesham El Naggar, PhD’94, recently by presenting him with the Geosynthetics Award. This award is presented biannually by the Society for outstanding publications in the application of geosynthetics to civil, geotechnical or geoenvironemental engineering.
Professor El Naggar, Professor and Associate Dean of Research at Western Engineering is also the Research Director of the Geotechnical Research Centre.
The Canadian Geotechnical Society is the premier organization for geotechnical engineers and geoscientists in Canada and is dedicated to advancing knowledge and creating opportunities for the sharing of information by practitioners in a broad range of geotechnical disciplines.
