Dawson wins first place at London Health Research Day

Mathew Dawson, a co-op student working with Western Engineering researchers at CSTAR, won first prize in the “Educational Research” category of the poster award competition at the London Health Research Day in March 2013.
Hosted by the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and Lawson Health Research Institute, the inaugural “London Health Research Day” was the largest research day of its kind in Ontario.
Over 600 people attended this brand new event, including 350 students and trainees, and 130 judges. Research presentations spanned 13 different categories, from children’s health and aging to biomedical imaging and surgical innovation. Together, participants represented health science labs throughout Western University, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London.
