MEng Students
There is no financial aid for MEng students. Below is an approximate cost for the MEng program. Tuition and ancillary fees are set by the Registrar's Office. See current amounts.

Applicants might be eligible to apply for OGS ($15,000 for one year). Applications are due to the agency in the Fall. Results are available the following April, hence applicants wishing to study the following May/September/January can apply for OGS.
MESc and PhD Students
Western Engineering offers financial support for eligible research-based graduate students (78% average) through research grants, contracts, scholarships and teaching assistantships. Eligible research-based students will receive a minimum of $12,000 plus tuition (excludes ancillary fees) from all sources. Tuition and ancillary fees are set by the Registrar's Office. See current amounts.

There are also a number of scholarship opportunities available for both domestic and international students. In lieu of the financial package noted above, students will receive the value of the scholarship plus a supplement. The supplement can be funded from a variety of sources including TA assignments.
For example:
- NSERC PGS M ($17,300 for one year – supplement of $10,000=$27,300)
- NSERC PGS D and IPS ($21,000 for up to three years - supplement of $10,000=$31,000)
- OGS/QEIIGSST ($15,000 for one year – supplement of $8,500=$23,500)
