OGS
Applicants who are in an approved graduate program leading to a masters or doctoral degree at an Ontario university can apply for an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS). OGS is $5,000 per term and applicants can apply for two or three terms. A minimum of 80% is required in order to apply (official transcripts required -- except from Western). A limited number of scholarships will be awarded to students who have been admitted to Canada as visitors with a student authorization/study permit. Applications will be due Fall 2012 to Diana Lee in SEB 2079. For more detailed information and application procedures please visit the OGS website.
QEIIGSST (formerly OGSST)
QEIIGSST is a sister competition to OGS. This scholarship is administered internally. Allocations are determined by the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Western Engineering then awards the scholarship to current students based on their OGS application. Decisions are announced in August of each year.
Please note that successful candidates can hold only ONE of the above scholarship at any given time.
