Part-time Status
A student may apply for Part-time status if he/she has full-time employment in hand, has been accepted into another full-time university program, or is experiencing family, medical or other circumstances that make it impossible for the student to devote full-time attention to the thesis. Financial circumstances alone are not grounds for a change from full-time to part-time status. The student must have completed all research and data collection and expect to defend within one year. Part-time status can be granted for a maximum of one year and is not renewable. Click here to access the form. Please note the form states the application fee and deadlines for receipt of the application at the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Completed forms must be returned to the Graduate Office and approved by the CEE Graduate Committee Chair before being forwarded to the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies for final approval.
