BIOMED 9511: Image-guided Interventions - (1 credit)

This course is designed as an introduction to both the technology and applications of Image-guided Interventions. It is loosely based on the recent textbook “Image-guided Interventions – Technology and Applications”  T Peters, K Cleary. In this course students will be exposed to the basic tools of image-registration, instrument tracking, visualization, image registration, segmentation, as well as applications in neuro, prostate, cardiac, abdominal, orthopaedic and cancer applications. Course evaluation will be via group projects focussing on new developments in the clinical areas addressed in the course.
