What is Mechatronics Engineering?

Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary field combining mechanical engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, optics and computer science. The aim of mechatronics is to improve the functionality of technical systems and the creation of new concepts of machinery and equipment. These systems could include robots, artificial intelligence & much more. 

What will I do at WESA if I choose Mechatronics Engineering?  

Students in this course will be able to build their own mini-robot! Students will learn the fundamentals of microprocessors, sensors, mechanical systems and programming to design and build their robot. Also students will participate in a design challenge using their robots at the end of the week. 

When is this course offered?   

Mechatronics Engineering is being offerred during two weeks this summer.
