The Academy is for students in Grades 9 to 12. If you are interested in programs for students in Grades 2 to 8 check out our Discovery Western Summer Camp.The Western Engineering Summer Academy is designed specifically for enriched Grades 9 to 12 high school students looking for a challenge this summer.
The 2013 Summer Academy will run the weeks of July 22, July 29, August 12 and August 19. The four courses that will be offered in 2013 are: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering (Environmental and Water Resources Engineering), Mechatronics Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
The Academy offers students the opportunity to explore these areas of engineering with labs, lectures and hands on projects. The courses are taught by our very own professors and graduate students.
Each registered participant will receive an information letter by email 1-2 weeks before their course starts. This letter will contain specific details on what to expect, clothing restrictions, drop-off/pick up location, etc.
