Registration for the 2014 Academy will open at noon on February 18, 2014.
The Western Engineering Summer Academy is designed specifically for enriched Grades 9 to 12 high school students looking for a challenge this summer.
The 2014 Summer Academy will run the weeks of July 21, July 28, August 11 and August 18.
The four courses that will be offered in 2014:
Mechatronics Engineering: So you want to build a robot?
Civil & Environmental Engineering: DIVE into engineering! Find out how engineers are saving the world!
Mechanical Engineering: Design, build & test your own creations!
Biomedical Engineering: An exciting look into technology that is improving today's health care system.
WESA offers students the opportunity to explore these areas of engineering with labs, lectures and hands on projects. The courses are taught by our very own professors and graduate students.
Each registered participant will receive an information letter by email 1-2 weeks before their course starts. This letter will contain specific details on what to expect, clothing restrictions, drop-off/pick up location, etc.
