to the winners of the oral presentation competition; there was a tie

Neda Dalili, University of Alberta, 114, Thermodynamic Stability and Diffusion Barrier Properties of Amorphous Ta-Rh Alloys for Cu Metallization, was the winner of the prize sponsored by the Materials Section of MetSoc

Nastaran Kazemi-Zanjani, Western University, 55, Principles and Applications of Tip Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy in Material Science, was the winner of the prize sponsored by the 24th CMSC

The 24th CMSC had the theme:  Materials: Atoms to Applications

An interactive program for the 24th CMSC may be found here.

The CMSC organizers invited undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and industry partners to submit abstracts describing their leading-edge research in the following general areas:

  • Biomaterials
  • Chemical Metallurgy
  • Composites
  • Materials for Energy Storage
  • Mechanical Metallurgy
  • Nanomaterials and Nanofabrication

Priority was been given to oral and poster submissions from students.

Best student oral and poster presentations received awards contributed by the Materials Section of MetSoc!

Abstract submission was available through webHermes
